Savoury Caramelized Onion and Cheddar Bread Pudding
This flavourful make-ahead bread pudding with Ontario made white aged cheddar is perfect for feeding large parties. A crispy golden crust with a soft and creamy centre will be the hit of the gathering.

- StepPreheat the oven to 375
- StepCut challah bread into 1 inch thick cubes. Set aside.
- StepIn a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, cream, thyme, pepper and salt until smooth
- StepIn a large baking dish, brush all sides evenly with melted butter. Add a layer of challah bread cubes and evenly distribute a third of the caramelized onion and Aged White Cheddar cheese. Repeat until the dish is full. Pour egg mixture over bread, cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 5 minutes, until the mixture absorbs.
- StepBake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve.
