Instructions

Step 1

Heat a heavy bottom pot on medium heat. Add in ghee, followed by rice and stir. Add in cardamom pods and mix until aromatic. 

Step 2

Add Ontario milk and stir well until milk comes to a boil. Once boiling, lower heat to low and let simmer, stirring frequently until thickened. 

Step 3

Once thick, add sugar (adjust according to your perference) and mix. Remove from heat and pour into serving bowls. Garnish with rose petals or pistachios (optional) and serve.
Tip: To enjoy this cold, transfer into a bowl and place it in the fridge for 30 mins or until chilled.
