Classic Philly Cheesesteaks
It’s no wonder why the Philly cheesesteak is a comfort classic! Ooey gooey melted locally made cheese with caramelised onions, tender steak and a crispy soft bun–what more could you ask for?

- StepSlice steaks as thinly as possible, trimming any excess fat.
- StepIn a large cast iron skillet, melt 1 tbsp of Ontario salted butter over medium-high heat. Add onion, season with ½ tsp salt and sauté until craramelized; set aside.
- StepIn the same pan, melt remaining Ontario unsalted butter and toast buns; set aside.
- StepIncrease heat to high and add sliced ribeye in one even layer, season with remaining salt and pepper.
- StepWhen no pink remains, fold onions into beef and divide evenly, filling both rolls.
- StepAdd Ontario shredded mozzarella cheese on top of stuffed rolls. Serve once the cheese has melted.
