Milk Dessert Creamy Citrus Infused Tiramisu

This citrusy twist on a classic dish is bursting with flavour. Lady fingers are soaked in a citrus simple syrup and sandwiched between luscious citrus infused Ontario mascarpone and Ontario whipping cream. This no bake dessert is simple and unbelievably delicious.

CITRUS SIMPLE SYRUP

MASCARPONE FILLING

Instructions

  1. Step
    To make the citrus simple syrup, in a small pot add water and sugar. Bring to a boil on medium heat (about 5 minutes) and set aside.
  2. Step
    In a heatproof bowl, combine orange and lemon zest and lemon juice. Carefully pour the citrus simple syrup into the bowl, mix and allow the combined mixture to cool at room temperature.
  3. Step
    In a large bowl, whip the whipping cream using a hand blender or whisk until stiff peaks form and set aside
  4. Step
    In another bowl, mix together mascarpone cheese and lemon curd until fluffy. Whip until smooth
  5. Step
    Carefully fold in whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well incorporated.
  6. Step
    dip each lady finger into the citrus simple syrup (created in Step 2) and begin laying them down in a 9x13 baking dish. Spoon half of the mascarpone citrus filling and spread evenly over lady fingers. Repeat this step, alternating between dipped lady fingers and the mascarpone filling. On the last layer of lady fingers, pour additional syrup over top if any remains. Spoon remaining mascarpone filling on top of lady fingers and spread evenly

    Add orange and lemon zest on top of Tiramisu and serve
