Halloween Crostini
These Halloween crostini put local cheese at the centre of the snack table. Buttery toasted bread is topped with creamy whipped ricotta and playful mozzarella ghosts for an easy savoury appetizer that brings just the right amount of spooky to Halloween parties and gatherings.

Instructions
- StepPreheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
- StepCombine the melted butter, garlic powder and salt. Brush the mixture over both sides of the baguette slices.
- StepBake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the crostini are golden and crisp. Allow to cool slightly.
- StepIn a food processor or blender, combine the ricotta cheese, cream, lemon juice, basil, salt and black pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- StepSpread the whipped ricotta evenly over each crostini.
- StepCut the mozzarella cheese into small ghost shapes using a knife or small cookie cutter. Place a mozzarella ghost on top of each crostini.
- StepAdd small pieces of black olives for the ghost eyes.
- StepTop with cherry tomatoes, fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
- StepServe immediately as a festive Halloween appetizer.
