Bacon and Cheese Scones
These savoury bacon and cheese scones make for a delicious buttery treat and are perfect for brunch! Add as much bacon and cheese as your heart desires.

- StepPre-heat the oven to 400°F.
- StepIn a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper together.
- StepAdd the grated cheese and bacon crumble and toss until evenly distributed.
- StepIn another bowl, mix the egg and cream together. Add this to the flour mixture and mix until the liquid is absorbed and the dough comes together.
- StepTurn the dough out onto a counter and knead about 10 times, roll out (or use your fingers and pat) the dough into a rectangle shape roughly 1 inch thick. Using a knife, cut the dough into half lengthwise and into thirds widthwise. Cut each rectangle diagonally for a total of 8-10 scones.
- StepTransfer the scones to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush the tops with cream and bake for 16 - 20 minutes until golden.
