Join Dairy Farmers of Ontario in celebrating World Milk Day

Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) is once again taking part in worldwide celebrations to recognize World Milk Day (WMD) on Wednesday, June 1.

Created by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations, WMD celebrates the important contributions of the global dairy sector in providing safe and nutritious food to consumers and highlights the sustainable and responsible practices of dairy farmers. Countries around the world participate in online, school and media activities to promote their dairy industries and the #WorldMilkDay and #EnjoyDairy hashtags.

DFO will once again support the cause by promoting Ontario’s dairy’s industry on our social media pages and through local and regional media engagements. Ontario dairy farmers and industry stakeholders are encouraged to act as dairy advocates to help amplify the sector’s accomplishments in farming, sustainability, nutrition and community service.

Visit DFO’s LinkedIn page from June 1 to 3 as we highlight the industry’s contributions to the economy and environmental stewardship, and our consumer-facing social media sites on Instagram and Facebook for a fun infographic carousel to educate consumers and celebrate milk.
