Mac and Cheese Pizza

Two comfort food legends, one legendary bite! Inspired by the TV show Parks and Rec, this over-the-top mac and cheese pizza is comfort food on comfort food, made extra creamy with locally-made butter and cheddar from right here in Ontario. Perfect for binge-watch nights.

    Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
  2. Step
    Prepare the mac and cheese according to package instructions, using the butter and milk to combine with the cheese mix. Set aside once creamy and thick.
  3. Step
    In a pan over medium heat, lightly brown the sliced sausage until caramelized. Set on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

Build your flatbread pizzas

  1. Step
    Place flatbreads on the baking sheet.
  2. Step
    Spoon a layer of pizza sauce onto each, leaving a bit of edge around the rim.
  3. Step
    Add a generous scoop of macaroni and cheese on top of the sauce.
  4. Step
    Sprinkle sausage slices, chopped red pepper, and jalapeño (if using) over the mac.
  5. Step
    Finish with a layer of shredded cheese.
  6. Step
    Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the edges of the flatbread are crisp.
