  1. Step
Mix the chopped salami with the grated parmesan and the basil thorn by hand into little pieces.
  2. Step
Set all the ingredients in front of you and prepare a baking (Lasagna) dish by buttering the bottom and the sides well.
  3. Step
Start the layering by spreading tomato sauce on the bottom and the first layer of pasta sheets, overlapping by 1 inch is best.
  4. Step
Pour some tomato sauce and spread well, sprinkle the parmesan basil mixture all-over, then add the shredded mozzarella, a few pinches of ricotta and the cubed mozzarella, top with another layer of pasta and repeat for at least five layers. The top should be very cheesy.
  5. Step
Wrap with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour or more at 400F. Remove the foil when only 10 minutes remain - this is to allow enough time for the mozzarella to fully melt and become golden.
  6. Step
Remove from the oven and rest for at least 20 minutes before serving!
