- StepPreheat oven at 350 F, grease cookie sheet.
- StepBeat local Ontario butter and add vegetable oil. Then add sugar, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- StepStir in flour, baking soda, salt, and contents of the tea bag.
- StepChill in the dough in the fridge for about 1 hour.
- StepLine cookie sheet with 12 tbsp of scooped cookie dough.
- StepCoat the scooped cookies with sugar, place them onto the cookie sheet, and press evenly to flatten them.
- StepBake cookies for 9 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Let cookies cool down completely.
- StepIn a bowl, mix the powdered sugar and chai tea leaves.
- StepGradually add Ontario milk, stirring until you achieve a smooth icing. If it's too thick, add a bit more milk, one teaspoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
- StepOnce your cookies are cool, spread the icing on top.
- StepAllow the icing to dry for about 30 minutes before serving.
