You’ve probably heard of smashed burgers…but have you had a smashed cheeseburger taco? These fun and easy cheesy tacos are sure to be a hit at the next summer gathering!

In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, cheddar cheese and taco seasoning. Mix until combined and form into ⅓ cup balls.
Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat and melt 1 cube of butter. Once melted, add 1 tbsp of chopped white onion and on top of the onion, add 2 scoops/balls of the meat mixture followed by a slice of Havarti and tortilla.
Take a small pot and press the tortilla and the burger to a ¼” thickness and allow the meat to cook for about 4-5 minutes (time varies depending on the selected protein. Ensure internal temperature has reached 160°F) and flip. Cook the other side until the tortilla is golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside. Repeat the process until ingredients are depleted.
Serve with your favourite burger toppings or the listed accompaniments
