You’ve probably heard of smashed burgers…but have you had a smashed cheeseburger taco? These fun and easy cheesy tacos are sure to be a hit at the next summer gathering!

  1. Step
    Step 1 In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, cheddar cheese and taco seasoning. Mix until combined and form into ⅓ cup balls.

    Step 2 Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat and melt 1 cube of butter. Once melted, add 1 tbsp of chopped white onion and on top of the onion, add 2 scoops/balls of the meat mixture followed by a slice of Havarti and tortilla.
  3. Step
    Step 3 Take a small pot and press the tortilla and the burger to a ¼” thickness and allow the meat to cook for about 4-5 minutes (time varies depending on the selected protein. Ensure internal temperature has reached 160°F) and flip. Cook the other side until the tortilla is golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside. Repeat the process until ingredients are depleted.
  4. Step
    Step 4 Serve with your favourite burger toppings or the listed accompaniments
