Slow Cooker Mocha Poached Pears
If you love chocolate and coffee, then these Mocha Poached Pears made with delicious cream and vanilla ice cream from Ontario are a wonderful addition to your dessert collection. This recipe is so easy to make and requires minimal labour for when you’re cooking up a storm for a party!

- StepIn a slow cooker, whisk together sugar and cocoa. Add coffee, cream and vanilla and whisk until smooth. Place pears in slow cooker; cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or until pears are tender.
- StepPlace pear quarters in shallow bowls and ladle sauce over top. Top with ice cream and sprinkle with chocolate to serve.
- StepPlace pears in a large baking dish and pour mocha mixture over top. Cover and bake in preheated 400°F (200°C) oven for about 40 minutes or until tender when pierced with a knife.
