Baked Chicken Tacos

You can’t make these tacos without the dairy. Crispy baked tacos are loaded with melted cheese from Ontario and topped with local sour cream to create the perfect flavour-packed bite.

Instructions

  1. Step
    Warm a pan over medium heat and melt butter.
  2. Step
    Add chicken, salt, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook 6–8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Step
    Add onion, bell peppers, and garlic. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Step
    Stir in remaining butter and mix until melted and creamy. Adjust salt to taste.
  5. Step
    In a food processor, blend cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  6. Step
    Add paprika, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  7. Step
    Preheat Oven – Set oven to 190°C (375°F).
  8. Step
    Lightly brush tortillas with butter. Fill each with chicken mixture, add a spoon of sauce, and sprinkle cheese.
  9. Step
    Fold and place in a baking dish.
  10. Step
    Bake Until Crispy – Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy.
