DAIRY EDUCATOR
CONTRACT FOR SERVICE
One year contract with opportunity to renew
Dairy Farmers of Ontario’s dairy education program has been supporting Ontario schools since 1995. We are currently seeking self-motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join this elite team of educators. The ideal candidates will possess knowledge of the dairy industry and have experience leading children in a group setting.
Dairy educators are responsible for the promotion, coordination, and implementation of the local dairy education program in a specified region. Program elements include live school presentations to elementary level students on various dairy-related topics as well as community events.
The dairy education program offers a flexible work schedule and makes an ideal supplemental income opportunity. It is anticipated the dairy educator will work 3-4 days per week during school hours from September to June. Professional development and community event opportunities exist during July and August. Dairy Farmers of Ontario fosters a healthy work-life balance and family-first focus.
This exciting, highly interactive position has the following requirements and qualifications:
- Experience working with groups of school-age children in a leadership role
- Demonstrated effective group management skills
- Enjoyment working with elementary school children
- Knowledge of the dairy industry
- Access to a vehicle
- OCT Certification and bilingualism (English/French) would be considered an asset
