Instructions

Step 1

In a saucepan, melt Ontario butter over medium-low heat. Make a roux by adding flour and whisk until lightly brown and bubbly, about 2 to 3 minutes. Once bubbling, gradually pour in pan drippings and whisk to combine with the roux until smooth.

Step 2

Once bubbling, add Ontario half-and-half and continue to whisk until smooth. Season with ground pepper and salt. Once gravy is hot, add 1 tbsp thyme leaves, stir and remove from heat

Step 3

Transfer gravy into a gravy boat, season with black pepper, garnish with fresh thyme and serve.
