Instructions

Step 1

Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

Melt butter in a saucepan. In a separate bowl add both sugars, vanilla, and melted butter and whisk to combine. Next add the two eggs and egg yolk one at a time fully incorporating before adding the next egg.

Step 3

Mix wet and dry ingredients until just combined and no dry spots of flour remain.

Step 4

Roughly chop semisweet chocolate into chunks of varying sizes and fold into the dough.

Step 5

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to overnight. Preheat your oven to 375°F while the dough is resting.

Step 6

Once ready to bake, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop out 2 ounce balls of dough (a bit larger than a golf ball) evenly spaced onto your baking sheet.

Step 7

Bake for 14-16 minutes. Once out of the oven let cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before enjoying with a glass of milk!
